Aerosol Fire Extinguishers

APP, in collaboration with our customer AF-X, has developed an innovative dry aerosol fire suppression system based on AF-X’s patented technology. This compact and efficient solution provides fast and reliable protection for a wide range of applications.

At the core of the system is an aerosol generator—a gas generator containing a solid compound that, once activated, transforms into a fine cloud of nano-particles. These particles act as a powerful fire extinguishing agent, interrupting the chemical chain reaction that sustains combustion. In close cooperation with AF-X, APP developed four types of aerosol generators, each designed to protect specific enclosure sizes—from 1 m³ up to approximately 140 m³. This technology delivers high performance, minimal maintenance, and environmentally friendly fire suppression in a compact design, making it ideal for both industrial and commercial environments.
