Internship – Stock Management

Background & Opportunity

APP produces a wide variety of products, with volumes ranging from single devices to thousands of units. Despite an ERP system, stock management remains challenging. The goal of this assignment is to optimize stock control and procurement to ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing waste and costs.

Tasks & Objectives

• Analyze challenges – Review stock control, ERP gaps, and volume issues.
• Procurement & lead times – Assess suppliers, bottlenecks, and strategies.
• Optimize process – Improve workflow, set thresholds, add ERP tracking.
• Implement & recommend – Define steps, replenishment rules, and automation.

Deliverables

• Interim report with findings from analysis
• Process improvement proposal
• Implementation plan with clear steps
• Final presentation of results

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated student (University of Applied Sciences – Logistics) with:

• Basic knowledge of stock management and supply chain principles
• Independent attitude, initiative and perseverance
• Motivation, flexibility, and ability to reflect
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and/or English
