APP Enables Re-Ignition for Ariane Rocket Engines

On 13 August 2025, Arianespace’s Ariane 6 successfully launched the Metop-SGA1 satellite into orbit, marking the second commercial flight for Europe’s new heavy-lift launcher. APP has supplied ignition equipment for both the Vulcain engine of the core stage and the Vinci upper-stage engine. Thanks to APP's innovative torch ignition system—which supports Vinci’s multiple re-ignition capability—the upper stage can reignite in space, enabling versatile mission profiles.
