About Aerospace Propulsion Products B.V. (APP)

 

APP is the European market leader in ignition systems for rocket motors. We design and manufacture these systems for major European launch vehicle manufacturers. Our technology enables satellites to be launched into space for applications in telecommunications, science, and navigation. In addition, we develop parachute deployment systems for space vehicles and produce gas generators—based on our aerospace expertise—for fire and explosion protection applications. APP is a subsidiary of ArianeGroup SAS.

 

Your Role

 

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies and sales plans to expand APP’s market presence, acquire new customers, and build long-term client relationships
  • Stay up to date on space sector developments and translate them into new business propositions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to translate customer needs into product solutions.
  • Contribute to APP’s strategic roadmap and product development.
  • Represent APP at trade shows, conferences, and networking events in the Netherlands and abroad

 

Profile

Your Profile

 

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Marketing & Sales, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven affinity, experience, and network in the European space industry.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a similar commercial role, ideally within a technology-driven company.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new markets, building client relationships, closing complex deals, and designing customer-specific solutions.
  • Experienced in contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
  • Analytical & strategic thinker, strong communicator and negotiator. Entrepreneurial, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to build effective partnerships
